Lignocellulose,

renewable
resource
for

fuels.
Unlocking
full
potential
lignocellulose
requires
efficient
pretreatment
strategies.
In
this
comprehensive
review,
efforts
were
taken
to
survey
latest
developments
in
polyoxometalates
(POMs)-assisted
conversion
lignocellulosic
biomass.
An
outstanding
finding
highlighted
review
is
that
deformation
cellulose
structure
from
I
II
accompanied
by
removal
xylan/lignin
through
synergistic
effect
ionic
liquids
(ILs)
POMs
resulted
significant
increase
glucose
yield
improved
digestibility.
Furthermore,
successful
integration
with
deep
eutectic
solvents
(DES)
or
γ-valerolactone/water
(GVL/water)
systems
has
demonstrated
lignin
removal,
opening
avenues
advanced
biomass
utilization.
This
not
only
presents
key
findings
novel
approaches
POMs-based
but
also
addresses
current
challenges
prospects
large-scale
industrial
implementation.
By
offering
assessment
progress
field,

valuable
