Biomaterials
are

from

the
human
body.

fluids.
For

Consequently,

summarizes
classification
different

based
on
origin,
as
ones.
Moreover,
advanced
applications
pharmaceutical
medical
domains
highlighted
specific
mechanical
physical
properties
biomaterials,
concerning
use.
The
high-priority
challenges
field
also
discussed,
especially
those
regarding
transfer
implementation
valuable
scientific
results
practice.

Abstract
Gum
arabic/acacia
(GA),
derived
from
Acacia
trees,
is
a
versatile
natural
product
offering
broad
spectrum
of
applications.
Its
rich
content
soluble
dietary
fibers,
coupled
with
low
caloric
profile,
renders
GA
valuable
component
associated
numerous
health
benefits.
Furthermore,
its
fermentation
by
gut
microbiota
yields
short‐chain
fatty
acids,
renowned
for
their
positive
impact
on
health.
Immunomodulation,
crucially
regulated
mechanism
in
the
body,
serves
to
fend
off
pathogenic
infections
releasing
pro‐inflammatory
cytokines.
However,
prolonged
synthesis
these
cytokines
can
lead
chronic
inflammation,
tissue
damage,
and
potentially
contribute
development
autoimmune
diseases
cancer.
Hence,
there
an
urgent
need
identify
plant‐based
biomolecules
that
effectively
reduce
inflammation
inhibit
inflammation‐induced
complications
or
disorders.
In
this
context,
edible
like
are
gaining
prominence
noteworthy
immunomodulatory
properties.

Abstract
In
the
present
study,
different
doses
of
lyophilized
kiwifruit
peel
powder
extract
(KPE)
were
incorporated
into
carboxymethyl
cellulose
(CMC)
and
gum
Arabic
(GA)
based
polymer
matrices
to
fabricate
films
CG-CT
(control
film),
CG-KPE1
(1%
KPE),
CG-KPE2
(2%
CG-KPE3
(3%
KPE)
investigate
their
effects
on
active
packaging
functionality
sliced-beef
sausage
quality.
Consequently,
CG-KPE
demonstrated
a
superior
antimicrobial
effect
Gram-positive
(
Staphylococcus
aureus
Bacillus
cereus
)
Gram-negative
Escherichia
coli
bacteria
antioxidant
efficacy
compared
films.
The
scanning
electronic
microscopy

revealed
