Abstract Hydrogel dressings play an important role in the treatment of bacterial infection. In this study, carboxymethyl chitosan (CM‐CS) was cross‐linked with aldehyde polyglycol (DF‐PEG), and then polydopamine (pDA) 5,10,15, 20‐tetrakis (4‐aminophenyl) porphyrin (TAPP) were grafted to prepare a CM‐CS/DF‐PEG/pDA/TAPP hydrogel (CDPT). The results showed that CDPT had good adhesion, injectability, self‐healing, degradability, biocompatibility. Under near‐infrared irradiation, has excellent photothermal photodynamic effects can effectively inhibit activity Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) , Escherichia coli ( E. ) antibiotic‐resistant, methicillin‐resistant (MRSA) . summary, potential applications as antibacterial material.

Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leakage caused by accidents or diseases resulting from traumatic brain injury, inflammation, tumor erosion and surgery can lead to many complications. In this study, a multifunctional composite double-layer hydrogel was designed simulating the structure of native dura mater, which composed polyacrylic acid (PAA), polyethyleneimine (PEI), sodium alginate (SA), β-cyclodextrin (β-CD) edaravone (Ed). The PAA/PEI layer had strong wet adhesion characteristics, while PEI/SA@β-CD/Ed exhibited significant antioxidant, drug release biocompatibility properties. By controlling concentration Ca2+, gelation time be adjusted rapidly within 95-215 s. Specifically, final PAA/PEI/SA@β-CD/Ed porous network with high porosity low swelling rate, improved tensile strength, sufficient biodegradability, favourable performance, enhanced DPPH ABTS radicals scavenging abilities, sustained Ed capacity. addition, also showed excellent protective effect on H2O2-induced oxidative damage in SH-SY5Y cells. These results preliminarily suggested that would appear promising candidate for dural repair.
