The agricultural use of synthetic pesticides, fertilizers, and growth regulators may represent a serious public health environmental problem worldwide. All this has prompted the exploration alternative chemical compounds, leading to exploring potential chitosan PGPB in systems as biotechnological solution establish novel production practices that not only result fewer adverse impacts on environment but also improve resilience plants. In work, an analysis impact plant growth-promoting bacteria (PGPB) protection been conducted, emphasizing crucial bioactivities resistance plants both biotic abiotic stressors. These include inducing phytohormone production, mobilization insoluble soil nutrients, biological nitrogen fixation, ethylene level regulation, controlling phytopathogens, etc. Moreover, some relevant aspects chitin are discussed, including their structures, sources, how physical properties related beneficial effects applications mechanisms action. photosynthesis, germination, root development, against diseases have compared, intriguing similarities synergistic observed these aspects. Although currently there limited studies focused combined application chitosan, it would be important consider highlighted those emerge future or through well-designed investigations, because could permit advancing towards greater knowledge obtain better formulations by combining bioproducts, especially for new contexts sustainable agriculture. Thus, seems feasible augur promising near combinations, considering wide range possibilities offered chitinous biomaterials development innovative formulations, well allowing different methods.
