Probiotics have health-beneficial properties mainly due to either a direct action on the host or modulation of microbiota. Health-beneficial also been associated with variety plant-derived molecules, widely used as dietary supplements. This study explores possibility combining actions probiotics and molecules by developing beneficial, probiotic-carrying, heterologous molecules. To this extent, spores SF174, well-characterized probiotic strain Shouchella clausii (formerly Bacillus clausii), were bind bromelain, mixture endopeptidases beneficial effects. Probiotic displaying bromelain maintained their antioxidant activity acquired endopeptidase molecule. The was stabilized interaction spore largely preserved from degradation at simulated gastric conditions. Under conditions mimicking those encountered in intestine, well upon germination, active released surface. vitro results reported support idea that carrying combine health delivered molecule pave way for development novel class functional probiotics.

Background/Objectives: The objective of this review is to establish a solid base information regarding the use proteolytic enzymes replace hydrogen peroxide/carbamide in teeth whitening products. enzymes, such as bromelain and papain, can provide surprising results for solving two important aspects related dental aesthetics: tooth chemo-mechanical removal damaged tissue. Due their ability degrade salivary proteins, these be used successfully active agents atraumatic treatment caries without being accompanied by other side effects on components. Methods: Random-effects meta-analyses were performed with (bromelain, papain) dentistry. A keyword search scientific publications was conducted using Google Academic, Web Science PubMed engines. Results: systematized present work parts: papain chemo-mechanical/atraumatic tissues. Conclusions: findings from different studies clinical reports indicate that could considered efficient safe therapeutic not only various medical conditions but also problems.
