Osteoarthritis (OA) is among the most prevalent degenerative joint disorders worldwide, particularly affecting aging population and imposing significant disability economic burdens. The disease characterized by progressive degradation of articular cartilage chronic inflammation, with no effective long-term treatments currently available to address underlying causes its progression. Conventional therapies primarily manage symptoms such as pain inflammation but fail repair damaged tissues. Emerging biotherapies regenerative medicine approaches offer promising alternatives addressing control at molecular level. This review explores recent advancements in biotherapeutic strategies, including mesenchymal stem cell (MSC) therapy, growth factors, tissue engineering, which hold potential for promoting regeneration modulating inflammatory microenvironment. Additionally, integration nanotechnology has opened new avenues targeted drug delivery systems development innovative nanomaterials that can further enhance efficacy precisely targeting damage. article concludes discussing current clinical applications, ongoing trials, future research directions necessary confirm safety these advanced OA management. With advancements, combined may revolutionize treatment offering precise solutions management improved patient outcomes.
