Introduction Experiencing traumatic events (TEs), especially interpersonal TEs, is related to an increased risk of developing post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Both TEs and PTSD are associated with a higher substance use problems in emotion regulation. Little known about the associations between specific types general self-regulation (including cognitive behavioral components) severity adolescents. Knowledge on these could provide important approaches for prevention therapy adolescents history trauma. Methods This study investigated different PTSD, severity. Moreover, participants were categorized into three groups according their trauma status: (I) no (noTEs), (II) but diagnosis (III) Differences analyzed terms Our sample consisted N = 89 aged 12 18 years child adolescent psychiatric outpatient clinic Germany. Substance was only assessed smaller subsample ( n 37). Data obtained from standardized diagnostic procedures included information ICD-10, Child Behavior Checklist (CBCL)/ Youth Self Report (YSR) Dysregulation Profile (DP), measured Drug Use Disorders Identification Test (DUDIT). Results We found that significantly rates compared non-interpersonal TEs. significant both our findings do not indicate differences statuses (noTEs, PTSD). Discussion Future studies should consider other characteristics such as timing duration when investigating self-regulation. Longitudinal needed investigate developmental pathways, better understanding role development would opportunities trauma-exposed patients.

Abstract Background Research increasingly demonstrates a positive association between Internet Gaming Disorder (IGD) and conduct problems among adolescents. However, longitudinal data are limited, the mediating mechanisms remain unclear. This study aimed to examine predictive effect of IGD on explore role impaired sleep quality. Method A cohort 20,137 Chinese seventh- tenth-grade students was recruited assessed at three time points: November 2020 (T1), 2021 (T2), 2022 (T3). IGD, problems, quality were measured using Scale Short Form, Strengths Difficulties Questionnaire, Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index, respectively. Mediation analyses conducted evaluate direct indirect with subgroup based sex developmental stage. Results found be an independent risk factor for both cross-sectionally longitudinally. Impaired partially mediated relationship accounting approximately 17.3% total effect. Subgroup revealed that mediation more pronounced in early adolescents varied by sex, stronger boys. Conclusions These findings highlight need comprehensive interventions targeting quality, tailored specific sexes stages, effectively reduce problems.

Abstract Introduction The aim of this study was to examine longitudinal changes in past‐month cannabis use and hazardous over 1 year emerging adults the prospective associations between depression, anxiety, stress use, using age, sex impulsivity as potential moderators. Methods Participants were 2762 college students (aged 18–25) who surveyed three times course a (T1: September–November 2021; T2: March–May 2022; T3: 2022). Structural equation modelling semi‐parametric mixed‐effects repeated measures models used moderated by time‐variant (impulsivity trait age) time‐invariant (sex at birth) variables. Results prevalence 11.5% T1, 3.5% T2 9.1% T3. Autoregressive effects suggested that participants with elevated symptoms anxiety tended inform on similar impairment Cross‐lagged relationships found for T3, Increases emotional variables indirectly associated higher risk through traits. Discussion Conclusions Cannabis users reported more problems face worsened mental health negative/positive urgency. Effective interventions should be framed under transdiagnostic approach targets regulation.
