Deep rock are often in a true triaxial stress state. Studying the impacts of varying unloading speeds on their strain energy (SE) density is highly significant for predicting stability. Through principal experiments and equilibrium sandstone, this paper proposes method to compute SE compressive test. This aims analyze variation rocks under action stresses. Acoustic emission used verify correctness calculation paper. study found that: (1) Unloading one direction causes rise other directions. SE, depending its reversibility, can be categorized into elastic dissipated SE. (2)When stresses, released influence by path rate. (3) The higher speed will leads greater increases input density, dissipative (4) generated compression positively correlated with damage rock; an increase rate, there corresponding formation cracks after unloading. (5) Utilizing balance test, we propose tests.

Understanding the deterioration and predominant damage mechanisms of structures is highly relevant, especially for safety-critical components. Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) plays a crucial role in assessing monitoring their integrity by evaluating evolution. However, when it comes to complex structures, existing NDT methods face challenges application, as case with sandwich structures. This study employs two analyze initiation such during fatigue test. The Acoustic Emission (AE) technique utilizes membrane-free microphones broad bandwidth capture acoustic events from difficult-to-access areas. A machine learning algorithm used classify these determine source associated mechanisms. Additionally, Digital Image Correlation (DIC) employed measure strain evolution without contact method particularly relevant due thin geometry where other are not applicable. Strain redistributions considered indicators. results indicate that serves an early indicator damage, cumulative number peak frequency correlating well severity damage. In contrast, DIC revealed clear indications or deterioration, albeit at later stage compared AE.
