Biodiesel has emerged as a compelling substitute for conventional diesel fuel, providing sustainable and eco-friendly choice fueling compression ignition engines. This comprehensive study investigates the influence of biodiesel, specifically derived from sunflower oil, through esterification method, on crucial engine performance parameters environmental effects. The examines impact varying torque single-cylinder, four-stroke engine, encompassing such brake thermal efficiency (BTE) specific fuel consumption (BSFC), well exhaust emissions, including unburned hydrocarbons (HC), carbon monoxide (CO), nitrogen oxides (NOx). Four distinct biodiesel blends (B10, B20, B30, B40) with oil content are systematically compared to pure (B0). operates at consistent speed 1700 rpm, while undergoes controlled adjustments 0 10 Nm. Subsequently, this explores application an alternating model tree (AMT) machine learning algorithm establish relationships between independent factors, volume (%vol), dependent variables, BTE, BSFC, CO, NOx in combustion engine. Additionally, employs multi-objective ameliorative whale optimization (AWOA) optimize model's output. objective is identify optimal values %vol that maximize minimizing emissions (CO NOx) reducing (BSFC). process yields noteworthy results, AWOA achieving peak BTE 29.714%, BSFC 0.262 kg.kWh-1, 992 ppm 7.3 N.m 13% vol. In contrast, particle swarm (PSO) secured minimum CO level 0.123%, set 7.6 26% AMT models demonstrate high prediction accuracy, coefficient determination (R2) exceeding 0.98.
