This study assesses the environmental performance of an existing petrochemical plant that produces urea fertilizer and liquid ammonia. In production facilities, ammonia is always in excess. excess can be converted back to if reacted with CO2 reformer. Such a process boost capacity without need for further investment major equipment, like reformers reactors. studied here, capture utilization unit (CCU) used from stack enhance production. The recovers about 5500 kg per hour. evaluated under solar-assisted operation. Although operation performs better than CCU many parameters, differences between two cases are relatively small. outcomes life cycle assessment show carbon footprint 10% lower CCU. addition some benefits plant, increases by 8%.
