Purpose This study aims to investigate the affordances of service robots (SRs) in hotels and their effects on frontline employees (FLEs). Design/methodology/approach Purposive referral samplings methods were used conduct 28 semistructured interviews with hotel FLEs, transcribed manuscript was analyzed based grounded theory. Findings The identifies six dimensions SR affordances: physical, sensory, task, safety, social emotional affordances. main FLEs involve reducing work stress mental fatigue increasing positive emotions psychological aspects FLEs. In terms behavioral aspects, shifts task priorities enhancements usage behaviors observed. Accordingly, a mechanistic framework revealed through which influence via direct indirect interactions between SRs. Originality/value paper expands robotics research from supply-side perspective is one few studies field hospitality research. this provide practical guidelines for designing implementing SRs support daily work.

The use of express packaging and its recycling produces large amounts carbon dioxide. In order to achieve China’s “dual carbon” goal, this study adopted a literature research method explore the idea intelligent cabinets. Based on current design cabinets, new ideas for their improvement are proposed. This also explored methods improving people’s willingness cabinets through experimental quantitative analysis. results show that reward mechanism has significant effect Of two types rewards, immediate compared delayed can further increase Gain loss trade-offs play mediating role between it, consumers make choice after weighing up advantages disadvantages. If feel it is worthwhile protect environment, in terms rewards they obtain time effort have spend using gain outweighs loss, will be inclined system. Environmental responsibility plays moderating trade-off gains losses. context low environmental responsibility, cash lead greater point while high there no difference rewards. provides promotion with goal effectively rate waste.
