Carbon nanotube (CNT)–metal Schottky contacts are widely employed in different types of electronic devices, including field effect transistors (FET) and gas sensors. CNTs normally considered stable on properties with adsorptions. In this work, performance changes the multi-walled carbon (MWCNT)–metal junctions related to hydrogen adsorptions were illustrated. MWCNT/Pd MWCNT/Au based resistive sensors constructed investigate low-pressure sensing performances for range 10−6~10−3 Pa. Two presented opposite behaviors adsorptions, i.e., sensor resistance rose but dropped increasing pressure. The work function reductions Pd CNT key cause, which could change barrier dramatically. This behavior may play crucial roles accurate utilization CNT-based devices.

In the current energy transition procedure, application prospect of hydrogen as a clean material has attracted much attention. However, widespread use is also accompanied by safety hazards, and how to detect safely efficiently become research focus. this paper, we propose fiber-optic sensor based on thermo-optic effect nanomaterials, which combines unique advantages grating platinum-loaded tungsten trioxide capable detecting concentration with high sensitivity. The principle absorb molecules nanomaterials trigger exothermic effect, leads period change refractive index in fiber, thus modulating resonant wavelength grating. By monitoring drift real time, can be accurately detected. experimental results show that provide sensitivity, fast response, wide detection range, miniaturized design, are suitable for complex environments. addition, its dual-channel operational method further improves accuracy environmental adaptability. This work provides technical support safe detection, production, storage, industrial monitoring.
