ABSTRACT In Duhok, Iraq, the national electricity grid struggles to meet household demands due inadequate infrastructure, resulting in frequent power outages. During these outages, households rely on diesel generators supply electricity, leading high investment and operating costs. Additionally, contribute noise air pollution, causing further environmental harm. This study aims provide reliable, environmentally friendly at lower costs energy needs. this context, an analysis was conducted a hybrid system consisting of storage on‐grid photovoltaic system, with solar as primary source. The HOMER program used for analyses. results indicate that using PV can reduce cost from 0.022 0.010 $/kWh. payback period is calculated be 4.56 years. These findings suggest investing represents excellent economic opportunity particularly considering local conditions Duhok.
