The global energy matrix needs to undergo considerable changes achieve the clean and affordable target as per Sustainable Development Goals determined by United Nations (UN) 2030. Hydrogen has stood out worldwide a potential substitute for current non-renewable sources. Once thought be minor, if not non-existent, natural hydrogen is now becoming more significant alternative that being explored. Natural can obtained from subsurface rocks generation process of serpentinization, radiolysis, rock fracturing, or magma degassing, using extraction technology similar already used in oil gas industries. Thus, goal this research was perform consistent technical–scientific bibliometric review hydrogen, presenting Brazilian context. results showed 2017 onwards, there been an increase publications related topic. France country with most publications. In Brazil, sources studied states such Goias, Tocantins, Minas Gerais, Roraima, Bahia, Ceará. It still difficult predict cost production. However, estimates through Hydroma company show 0.5 USD/kg, Australia Spain price projects at approximately 1 USD/kg decarbonization could aided which supply world’s generations.
