Abstract Polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) is a common synthetic polymer with high transparency, good mechanical strength, weather resistance, etc. It widely used in scientific research and engineering applications. Good processing properties also make it favorite among researchers the field of laser processing. In this paper, acrylic as workpiece, 535nm nanosecond 800nm femtosecond are for microgroove Through experimental analysis, effect variation pattern different parameters two lasers on microflute depth width compared. These results will support guide development more sophisticated microstructure techniques PMMA.

Abstract Laser Beam Machining (LBM) has several applications in the aerospace, medical, and automobile domains. Optimization techniques are essential for LBM to increase resource-efficiency sustainability of system. The present paper aims provide a systematic review research domain optimization LBM. A total 228 papers published during last 20 years, from 2003 2023, reviewed. literature is classified into three major sections- (i) techniques, (ii) (iii) challenges future directions. novelty direction As result suggested research, an efficient sustainable with required performance will be developed shortest possible time.
