Abstract
The
traditional
rebar
binding
devices
require
complex
drive
and
transmission
mechanisms,
which
leads
to
large
volume
structure.
In
this
paper,
a
cylindrical
thermoplastic
shape
memory
polymer
(SMP)
fixture
is
proposed
verify
the
method
of
thermal-mechanism
coordination.
SMP
manufactured
by
injection
molding
technology
through
selecting
suitable-ratio
Polylactic
acid
Polycaprolactone
(PCL)
blend
materials.
Besides,
an
additional
auxiliary
device
presented
overcome
incomplete
recovery
disadvantage
existing
in
completely
achieve
rebar.
On
base,
two
different
methods
are
compare
mechanical
performance
after
fixing
rebar,
external
force/thermal
contributions
tested
discussed
detail.
results
show
that
contribution
heat
could
reach
70%
while
force
30%
above
transition
temperature
(
T
g
).
maximum
tensile
can
withstand
under
coordination
action
up
657.7
N,
higher
than
wire
binding.
addition,
friction
between
notches
94.1
further
verifies
feasibility
for
reinforcing
mesh
based
on
fixture.
