Thin-walled structures are extensively utilized in construction because of their lightweight nature and excellent energy absorption efficiency, especially under dynamic loads. Improving the energy-absorbing performance thin-walled by inspiring natural multi-cell designs is a sufficient approach. This paper investigates characteristics variable novel cross-section subjected to oblique impact loading. Straight tapered types with seven cross-sectional were studied. A multi-criteria decision-making method (MCDM) using complex proportional assessment (COPRAS) performed select optimum shown square structure thickness had best performances (EA) 11.01 kJ specific (SEA) 20.32 kJ/kg 30° angle. Moreover, results indicated EA decreased increase In addition, angle, peak force (PCF) reflected reduction absorbed at larger MCDM conjunction COPRAS proposed; it provides valuable insights safer more resilient building construction.
