The indentation test is an important method for characterizing the mechanical properties of solid films. However, how to extract elastic modulus pre-stressed circular films through still debatable due transition between linear membrane, nonlinear and plate behavior. This study proposes a extracting pre-tension freestanding film simultaneously by integrating theoretical modeling. Firstly, we introduce experimental setting results polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) model cylindrical then presented, considering combined contribution pre-tension, additional stretching, bending stiffness response. asymptotic derived from full governing equations are compared with classical solutions in regimes verify After that, extracted iteratively solving until difference numerical load-deflection curves minimized.
