The COVID-19 pandemic and the Russian–Ukrainian war have significantly impacted global supply chains, including food chain, in numerous countries. As one of leading wheat importers, Egypt has been adversely affected by simultaneous occurrence these two events. Baladi bread is an integral part daily diet Egypt, so any disruption affecting its availability can a severe impact on country’s security. This study aims to simulate causes effects potential disruptions that could occur, such as increased transportation time, unavailability sourcing, surge demand due lockdowns panic buying. East Cairo region was chosen case model chain. A discrete-event simulation developed using anyLogistix software (version 2.15.1) for this study. Five key performance indicators were selected evaluate, analyze, compare outcomes each scenario terms operation chain: service level product, lead backlog, average available inventory mills, on-hand silos. results indicate chain caused events, decreased bread, unmet demand, extended times, high backlogs. By utilizing research findings, proactive strategies be minimize future maximize security resilience.

ABSTRACT This paper examines the role of managerial influence in implementation green practices (IGP) within hotel industry, focusing on three key factors: managers' attitudes toward environment (MAE), perceived organizational environmental support (POES), and employees' collaboration (EGC). Drawing upon Norm Activation Model, Theory Planned Behavior, Social Exchange Theory, proposed model was tested using a sample 190 managers India. The findings indicate that MAE indirectly influences through intentions to behave. In addition, both POES EGC are directly related IGP. holds particular relevance for India's hospitality sector, which faces considerable challenges stemming from increasing tourist arrivals. By underscoring internal antecedents practices, we offer practical strategies control mitigate industry's impact.

This paper presents the use of a process system approach to optimize food supply chain considering three aspects sustainability. The main objective is highlight opportunities increase share produced at national level, taking into account environmental impact and economic efficiency within framework Green Deal requirements established by European Commission. A mixed-integer linear programming (MILP) model was developed that allocates available land among different crops, calculates mass crops number animals, considers groups indicators: (a) total profit, (b) indicators such as greenhouse gas emissions, c) social criteria self-sufficiency ratio. Multi-objective optimization leads trade-off solution in which increases 45 percentage points compared current situation, while agricultural emissions decrease 20% performance improves significantly.
