In order to address the issue of limited excavation footage in drilling and blasting a water diversion tunnel with cross-section approximately 10 m2, which is unable meet demands rapid construction, method combining long short straight-hole cutting was proposed based on theories elastic mechanics, craters, explosive gas stress waves.
