Abstract The study evaluated the effects of biological pretreatment on comminuted pine and poplar shavings particleboards with urea-formaldehyde resin (UF), utilising Pleurotus ostreatus. notably reduced lignin content by 6.8–8.3%, enhancing biomass's mechanical agglomeration properties, thus confirming initial hypotheses. Values for specific compaction work treated biomass were higher than those raw (24.03 kJ·kg–1 vs. 21.70 kJ·kg–1), correlating production denser pastilles (1014 kg·m–3 959 kg·m–3). After pretreatment, enhanced structural properties facilitated increased methane yields, showing up to a 3.7-fold increase 2.9-fold UF particleboards. This research advances potential developing recycling biogas technologies, offering novel insights into degradation via fungal pretreatment. findings underscore necessity further detailed studies analyse changes in post-pretreatment their impact wood materials.

Xylooligosaccharides (XOS), short-chain polymers with prebiotic properties, have gained significant commercial attention over the past few decades due to their potential as nutraceutical components. Derived from lignocellulosic biomass (LCB), XOS serve health promoting compounds applications across multiple sectors, including food pharmaceutical and cosmetic. This comprehensive review provides an overview of production, purification, characterization, quantification, highlighting derivation various sources such agricultural waste, agro-economical forest residues, nutrient-dense energy crops. The production involves enzymatic hydrolysis, acid steam explosion, each offering distinct advantages limitations in terms cost-effectiveness scalability for industrial applications. Methods purification chromatographic techniques, membrane filtration, capillary electrophoresis (CE) enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) are evaluated based on efficiency feasibility. Characterization techniques nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy, high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), mass spectrometry (MS) provide detailed insight into structure composition. Conclusively, promising biological macromolecules scientific interest diverse cos-effective large-scale production.

Biomass waste, which is biodegradable and vastly underutilized, generated in huge quantities worldwide. Forestry agricultural biomass wastes are notable for their wide availability, high yield, biodegradability, recyclability. The accumulation of these not only occupies valuable land but causes serious environmental pollution, can ultimately harm human health. Therefore, leveraging scientific technology to convert forestry bio-waste into bioenergy other products crucial. In this paper, common such as straw, rice husks, livestock manure, tree branches, sawdust, (bioethanol, biogas, biodiesel, biohydrogen) were selected keywords, with the theme green efficient utilization. This paper provides a comprehensive review sources existing recycling technologies, potential material additives conversion energy derivatives, along future prospects.
