Superhydrophobic textiles have special applications in many fields such as medical treatment, military protection, oil–water separation, etc. In the large-scale pad–dry–cure process, a large number of polymer binders are often added to improve superhydrophobic durability, resulting significant reduction air permeability. To address this issue, low-liquid atomization spray method was adopted fabricate multi-durable cotton fabrics using N1,N6-bis(2,3-epoxypropyl)hexane-1,6-diamine, silica precursor, and fluorine-free hexadecyltrimethoxysilane main modifiers. The prepared fabric maintained excellent water repellency even after being subjected various harsh conditions tests 2000 cycles friction, 40 washing cycles, ultrasonic treatment for 120 min, 200 tape peelings, acid–alkali–salt corrosion 24 h. permeability measured be 370.2 L m–2 s–1, which merely 5% lower than that original fabric, indicating modified retains satisfactory exhibited an self-cleaning effect with respect liquids. addition, showed good separation capability both heavy light oils. For mixtures, sample maintenance 98.13% efficiency high flux 18 032 h–1 10 uses. These findings will help promote practical application low-feed interface modification technology production durable functional textiles.
