This review discusses the potential of emerging technologies, as well their integration with conventional methods, to optimize extraction lignocellulosic compounds from cocoa pod hull (CPH), an agro-industrial residue that represents approximately 76% total weight fruit. CPH is primarily composed cellulose, hemicellulose, lignin, and pectin. Emerging technologies such microwave-assisted extraction, hydrothermal treatment, subcritical water, ionic liquids, deep eutectic solvents, ultrasound treatment have proven effective in recovering value-added compounds, especially when combined techniques improve process efficiency. Furthermore, use high-voltage electric discharge (HVED) proposed reduce inorganic contaminants, cadmium, ensuring safety by-products. The compounds’ applications include food, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, agricultural, biopolymer, environmental industries. conversion biochar biofuels via pyrolysis supercritical also discussed. presents opportunity valorize by-product development; however, research continues, scalability economic viability must be assessed.

Cissampelos pareira is a plant known for its edible and medicinal properties, with bioactive potential in various applications. This study aimed to isolate characterize pectin from C. (PCP) assess safety, as well efficacy skin moisturizing anti-aging effects on human volunteers. The highest yield of PCP extraction was achieved after 45 min period. Chemical composition analysis using Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy confirmed the presence characteristic structure. Optimized samples revealed high methoxy content, degree esterification, galacturonic acid concentration, along consistent physicochemical properties. exhibited antioxidant activity showed no cytotoxicity at 1 mg/mL, effectively reduced hydrogen peroxide-induced oxidative damage NIH/3T3 cells. Stability assessment indicated that maintains physical appearance total polysaccharide content heating–cooling periods. None formulations caused irritation among In an 8-week clinical trial, subjects who used serum containing 0.5% w/w 1.0% significant improvements hydration elasticity compared placebo group. While smoothness, scaliness, wrinkling also improved, these results were not statistically significant. promising candidate care applications due stability, activity, demonstrated enhancing elasticity.

The sun emits ultraviolet radiation and can produce free radicals. If these radicals continue to come into contact with the skin excessively, they damage cells eventually cause cancer. Sun Protection Factor (SPF) is a substance that protects from rays. capacity of product shield indicated by its SPF rating. Soap type formulation individuals frequently utilize. Red betel leaf extract protect harmful effects expected increase soap's ability exposure sunlight maintain health. methods include making transparent soap, testing physical quality, determining protection coefficient at various red ethanol concentrations. result black-green soap pH 9, foam height 57-65 mm, water content <15%. At concentration 0%, value 3, values are 7.5 (10%), 12.28 (30 50%), 18.2 (70%), 25 (90%). From this information, it be inferred clear created possesses excellent attributes effectively against exposure.
