ABSTRACT Grit denotes an individual's passion and perseverance to accomplish a long‐term goal despite obstacles challenges. It has been consistently supported by its beneficial effect in promoting students’ educational, developmental, psychological outcomes. Yet less is known about how shape foster grit from parents’ perspectives the mechanism underlying this process. To fill gap, we adopted sociocultural view of conducted cross‐sectional study examining mediating moderating effects gratitude relationship between parenting (parental concern parental control) grit. Self‐reported data were collected 326 university students China. Subsequent Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analyses showed that mediated two facets (consistency interest effort).
