Deep eutectic solvent (DES) is distinguished by its unique properties, chemical stability, and eco-friendly nature, which are pivotal in a spectrum of processes. It enhances the sample preparation process increasing efficiency minimizing environmental impact. Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), porous structures formed through coordination bonds between metal ions organic ligands, defined their adjustable pore dimensions, extensive surface areas, customizable architectures. The integration DES within MOF to create DES@MOF capitalizes on beneficial attributes both materials, augmenting MOFs' stability versatility while providing multifunctional carrier for DES.
