Abstract The thin layers of MoS 2 nanosheets possess unique optoelectronic properties. Consequently, numerous methods have been explored to fabricate uniform nanosheets, including chemical vapor deposition, mechanical exfoliation, and liquid‐phase exfoliation. Here, we report an effective approach for synthesizing few‐layer by a corona discharge set‐up. number size were validated using transmission electron microscopy (TEM), atomic force (AFM), Raman spectroscopy. exhibit luminescence, simple, fluorescent‐based sensor the detection lead (II) is demonstrated that uses (II)‐induced fluorescence enhancement nanosheets. has dynamic range 0.5−9.0 µmol/L toward Pb 2+ detection, along with selectivity in presence other metal ions common organic molecules. exhibits excellent repeatability reproducibility, making it ideal candidate practical applications environmental monitoring. Hence this study not only paves way new be developed future producing fluorescent multilayer transition dichalcogenides high quantum yields but also offers flexible long‐lasting sensing platform.
