We examine the linkages between fifteen major cryptocurrencies, NFTs, and DeFi assets before during Russia-Ukraine military conflict, using TVP-VAR framework. observe a high level of spillovers in pre-conflict period that persists confrontation. However, topology network connectedness changes conflict as several digital are seen to alter their status from net recipient transmitter vice-versa. Additionally, we report stronger transmitting receiving vis-à-vis full sample observed conflict. Ethereum, Chainlink, Bancor, BAT, Bitcoin (Decentraland, Maker, DigiByte, XRP) consistent transmitters (receivers) return spillovers. Chainlink BAT (Bitcoin volatility innovations. an asset class, play important role absorption shock coming NFTs assets. The classes least associated with one another those pair DeFi-cryptocurrencies. findings have valuable implications for investors, portfolio managers, policymakers.

ABSTRACT We apply a Time‐Varying Parameter Vector Auto Regressive (TVP‐VAR) connectedness approach on global assets to investigate time‐varying dynamic connectedness, portfolio performance, and hedge effectiveness during COVID‐19 the Russia–Ukraine war. With increased changing role of energy soft commodities these two events, we find minimum correlation (connectedness) performing better war that cumulative returns portfolios are higher COVID‐19. Additionally, varying (stable) equity market indices (cryptocurrencies). This paper provides specific insights investors about using optimal hedging pandemics military conflicts.

Purpose This study aims to investigate the possibilities of cryptocurrencies as hedges and diversifiers in Indian stock market before during financial crisis due pandemic Russia–Ukraine war. Design/methodology/approach Researchers have used daily data on prices from March 10, 2015 August 26, 2022. The researchers dynamic conditional correlations (DCC)-GARCH model determine volatility spillover correlation between stocks digital currencies. Further, explored hedge ratio, portfolio weight hedging effectiveness using estimates DCC-GARCH model. Findings findings indicate a negative equities positive except for Tether crisis. Which implies that serve asset but are not more than diversifier crisis, Tether. Notably, serves safe haven times Finally, suggests Bitcoin, Ethereum, Binance Coin Ripple most effective Originality/value makes several contributions existing literature. Purpose This study is designed to examine the dynamic interrelationships between four cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dogecoin and Cardano) Indian equity market. Additionally, seeks investigate potential safe haven, hedge diversification uses of these digital currencies within Design/methodology/approach employs wavelet approach time-varying volatility studied assets lead-lag relationship stocks cryptocurrencies.
