Abstract Separating the relationship between environment and economy simply discussing impact of carbon pricing on corporate emissions may lead to “green paradox”. That is, environmental policies aimed at reducing would result in an increase emissions. To remedy this shortcoming, scholars have proposed concept “carbon performance”. With growing interest performance, study investigates trading price enterprise which is still unknown existing literature. Based panel data high energy‐intensive (HEIs) listed enterprises China from 2013 2021, we find a positive significant performance. Investigating the network of firms in a specific industry helps explain industrial location and urban functions provides guidelines for promoting restructuring high-quality development. This study develops model relationship between cities based on data listed Specialized, Refined, Distinctive, Innovative (SRDI) medical device manufacturing China to identify spatial distribution influencing factors such using analysis GeoDetector. Three conclusions are obtained from study. First, SRDI exhibits sparse structure, with density decreasing east west, out-degree presenting significant concentration. Energy-consuming rights trading (ECRT) policy represents a critical instrument for China striving to achieve its “dual carbon” objectives, captivating significant attention potential reduce pollution and carbon emissions. This study utilizes panel data from 290 Chinese cities spanning 2010 2021, leveraging the ECRT as quasi-natural experiment. Employing Difference-in-Differences (DID) Propensity Score Matching-Difference-in-Differences (PSM-DID) methodologies, we assess effect of on urban reduction levels. The findings indicate: 1) Relative non-demonstration cities, significantly enhances levels in demonstration cities; this conclusion remains robust after rigorous testing. 2) Heterogeneity analysis indicates that policy’s is more central western regions, particularly evident key resource-based cities. 3) Mechanism tests demonstrate facilitates by cultivating green technological innovation industrial structure upgrading. Background Residents’ health plays an important role in economic prosperity and national development. Methods The research analyzes data from 262 prefecture-level cities China spanning the period 2010 to 2021. Utilizing implementation of green credit policy as a quasi-natural experiment, paper employs time-varying Differences-in- Differences (DID) model evaluate influence on residents’ health. Results results show that: (1) significantly improves health, this conclusion still holds after series robustness tests. Abstract With the rapid development of digital economy, its environmental impact, particularly on carbon dioxide emissions in resource-based cities, has emerged as a vital research topic. Resource-based often central to traditional industries, are confronted with dual challenges pollution and economic transformation. This study employs empirical analysis examine influence economy these cities. The findings reveal that significantly reduces emissions, this impact being more pronounced early stages gradually diminishing thereafter. In mechanism analysis, we found can reduce cities by raising public concern about environment. Green innovation possesses dual externalities of “innovation” and “environmental protection”, enhancing energy efficiency serves as a crucial means to promote high-quality economic development. Building upon the rebound effect, we use balanced panel data cities at prefecture level above in China from 2008 2018 explore impact urban green on total factor (TFEE). The findings this study indicate that, firstly, TFEE exhibits positive U-shaped pattern, characterized by initial suppression followed subsequent promotion. This conclusion remains robust after undergoing series rigorous robustness tests. Second, is found reach turning point more quickly, implying that substantial can cross smaller quantities. Thirdly, whole, comparison non-resource-based cities, resource-based are capable reaching an earlier stage. Finally, new demonstration have not yet reached point, while non-new crossed point. contributes novel insights into relationship between TFEE, which holds significant implications for formulation implementation sustainable development policies.
