Abstract
Point
mutations
in
the
acetylcholinesterase-1
gene
(ace-1)
have
been
associated
with
resistance
to
OPs
many
insects.
However,
presence
and
function
of
ace-1

Helicoverpa
armigera
(Lepidoptera:
Noctuidae),
a
significant
lepidopteran
pest
damaging
wide
range
crops,
remain
largely
unexplored.
This
study
investigated
insecticide

levels

6.7-fold).
Using
an
amplicon
sequencing
approach,
we
screened
for
13,874
moths
collected

resistance.

Genetically

crops

Abstract
Cotton
plays
a
crucial
role
in
shaping
Indian
economy
and
rural
livelihoods.

cotton
crop
is
prone
to
numerous
insect
pests,
necessitating
insecticidal
application,
which
increases
production
costs.
advent

(Bt)

has

compromising
environmental

human
health.
After

cotton,
cultivated
area
expanded

hectares,
with

accounts

resistance

like

on
