Plastic waste management remains a significant global challenge, with limited recycling opportunities contributing to its status as one of the highest producers. In Australia, recovery rate for plastic is 12.5%, resulting in high percentage plastics being landfilled. Common disposal methods, such incineration and landfilling, are environmentally damaging, emitting harmful gases landfilling causing contamination. Recycling, while preferable, faces difficulties due contamination infrastructure challenges. However, alternative solutions, integrating into concrete, present an opportunity both reduce enhance economic value recycled materials. This study evaluates potential milk bottles (PMBs) residential concrete by assessing their mechanical strength, environmental impact, variability greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. demonstrated that replacing up 10% cement silica fume-modified bottle (SFPMB) granules maintained comparable compressive strength traditional concrete. The addition metakaolin SFPMB mix design (SFMKPMB) further improved material’s 28%. Life cycle assessment (LCA) results revealed reductions warming (GWP), human toxicity (HTP), fossil depletion (FDP), SFMKPMB showing greatest savings. A Monte Carlo simulation evaluated factors, revealing additional transportation energy requirements increased GHG emissions, though ultimately resulted lowest overall material demonstrates complexity “green” materials highlights how use can influence sustainability waste-derived composites. Despite challenges, incorporating offers promising strategy mitigating landfill reducing impacts, especially renewable adoption increases.
