Plastic waste poses a significant challenge in Africa and around the world, with its volume continuing to increase at an alarming rate. In Africa, estimated 25–33% of daily is made up plastic, posing threat environment, marine life, human health. One potential solution this problem waste-to-energy recycling, such as pyrolysis, which involves conversion materials into oil, char, non-condensable gasses through thermochemical process absence oxygen. Given abundance continent’s energy challenges, pyrolysis offers sustainable solution.
