Abstract
Late-diagnosis

Purpose
of
review
Chronic
obstructive
pulmonary
disease
(COPD)
is
thought
as
a
caused
by
tobacco
exposure,
but
numerous
occupational
exposures
have
been
identified
risk
factors
for
development
and
exacerbations,
although
these
remain
underappreciated
underdiagnosed.
We
highlight
evidence
how
they
relate
to
COPD,
while
also
looking
at
gaps
in
the
changing
workplace
might
affect
COPD
landscape.
Recent
findings
Historical

included
inorganic
dusts
like
coal
silica
organic
cotton
wood.
Other
data
associated
agricultural
exposures,
cleaning
agents,
air
pollution,

work

COPD.
