Negative cognitive styles (NCSs) have been identified as risk factor for the onset of depression. However, little empirical evidence is available to support its role in psychological disorders perinatal period. Moreover, less known about underlying mechanism relation between NCSs and depression pregnant women. The purpose this study was examine mediation effect rumination on relationship antenatal (AD). Specifically, effects two subtypes were tested.

Reducing the prevalence and consequences of anxiety following childbirth (postpartum anxiety) is a strategic priority in UK many similar nations; comprehensive review risk factors can support development interventions guide further research. This registered systematic was guided by 'Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews Meta-Analyses' (PRISMA) analysed using 'Synthesis Without Meta-analysis' (SWiM) to answer question; 'What have been reported increase maternal postpartum (PPA) Australia, Europe, North America?'. MEDLINE PsycINFO were searched relevant research from America, published up July 2021. Screening yielded 39 reports (total N = 40,238). Seven categories identified (Psychopathology personality, Social, Socio-demographic, Health, Cognitive, Pregnancy birth, Infant characteristics experiences). Historic concurrent depression, historic anxiety, low social most frequently evidenced factors. The limited three geographical regions with comparable health, political, cultural contexts, pertaining only special populations excluded. Findings synthesise new evidence associated PPA, whilst discussion highlights potentially modifiable as targets intervention. Monitoring during routine pregnancy care would allow additional surveillance earlier intervention those at risk. Peer should be offered people heightened vulnerability PPA. Developing strategies that address cognitive vulnerabilities (e.g., parenting-related confidence) could prove particularly beneficial.

Objective: To investigate the association between repetitive negative thinking and depression as well feeding status at 3 6 months postpartum. Method: One hundred twenty-eight pregnant women recruited by hospital from January 2020 to June 2022 were selected for study. General demographic data of women, multiple Persistent Thinking Questionnaire (PTQ), Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale (EPDS) postpartum, breastfeeding collected. According PTQ scores, divided into high subgroup (scores ≥30) low <30). Intergroup comparisons continuous variables following a normal distribution performed using t-test, while categorical analyzed χ2 test. Spearman correlation analysis was conducted examine relationship PTQ, EPDS, status. Results: EPDS scores higher in group than postpartum (p < 0.001). The rates lower that Higher associated with (r = 0.379, p 0.001; r 0.358, 0.001) –0.346, –0.353, Conclusions: are increased reduced suggesting may be related mental health outcomes.

Mothers of preterm infants report traumatic, anxious and depressive symptoms in the postpartum period. Many studies have focused on biological, social, life circumstance factors to explain emergence these symptoms. The process model proposes focus psychological processes, which are mechanisms underlying mental disorders. However, processes onset anxious, mothers had not yet been investigated. aim this study was identify most common experienced first few days after delivery determine whether anhedonia, brooding rumination, worry related posttraumatic stress (PTS), anxiety, depression A sample 106 screened for PTS, within 10 their delivery. Anhedonia, were also assessed as processes. Student's t-tests performed severe manifestation reported. To explore relationship between symptoms, multiple linear regressions each symptom. Descriptive analysis shows that 75.5% reported a pathological symptom level at least one or depression. Being alert worrying predominant manifestations birth. Multiple regression showed PTS associated with rumination; anxiety worry, reminiscence pleasure deficit consummatory pleasure; pleasure. Our findings support transdiagnostic nature suggest may be relevant targets interventions concurrently treat Behavioral activation could an effective intervention target dysfunctional thus improve maternal

Immediate reward preference in repetitive negative thinking (RNT) has a high clinical correlation with variety of maladaptive behaviors, whereas episodic future (EFT) may be conducive to dealing non-adaptive and decision-making. This study aimed evaluate the efficacy EFT training combined transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) over ventromedial PFC (vmPFC) inhibiting impulsive choice RNT individuals. Study 1 explored effects on immediate participants low (N = 48). 2 conducted randomized controlled trial (RCT) examine treatment effect EFT-neural individuals 103). In 1, were more likely choose smaller sooner (SS) rewards, however, there no significant differences between high-RNT group low-RNT under positive condition. 2, decrease was shown proportion choosing SS rewards 8-week training, maintained at month follow-up. is vulnerability factor for short-sighted could suitable reducing improving preference.
