Psychometric examination and factorial validity of a German short form of the Beck Hopelessness Scale in three different samples

Hopelessness is a transdiagnostically relevant clinical construct, related to depression, post-traumatic stress disorder and suicidality. Economic, valid, reliable assessment of hopelessness thus crucial for both research practice. This study aimed at validating nine-item short version the Beck Scale in three large German samples psychiatric inpatients, psychotherapy outpatients, healthy controls. Data from N = 2321 participants (86.3 % female, mean age 31.8 years [SD=10.4]) were used analyze reliability, factorial validity, concurrent discriminant validity BHS-9. Results showed good psychometric characteristics BHS-9 supporting its unidimensionality, construct reliability. However, was insufficient outpatients In outpatient control samples, majority women. All reported analyses cross-sectional. Comparison of energy and nutrient intake with dietary guidance recommendations for older adults in rural communities and its relationship with oxidative stress levels: A latent class analysis study

Literatürde günümüz üniversite öğrencilerinin çeşitli etken ve faktörlere bağlı olarak umutsuzluk yaşadıkları vurgulanmaktadır. Özellikle öğrencilerin sosyo-demografik değişkenlere umutsuz düzeyleri farklılaşabilmektedir. Öğrencilerin onların kariyer geleceğe yönelik beklentilerinde önemli roller oynayabilmektedir. Bu bağlamda çalışmada Süleyman Demirel Üniversitesi İktisadi İdari Bilimler Fakültesinde eğitimine devam eden umutsuzluklarının göre farklılık gösterip göstermediği analiz edilmiştir. örneklemin seçilmesinin gerekçesi ise, daha önce bu örneklem grubuna nerdeyse hiç araştırma yapılmamış olmasıdır. Karşılaştırmaya dayalı ilişkisel tarama modeline gerçekleştirilen araştırmanın verileri ilgili grubundan toplanmıştır. 415 öğrenciden toplanan veri seti, SPPS programı yardımıyla t testi ANOVA analizi yapılarak test düzeylerinin farklı olup olmadığına analizler sonucunda hipotezler Elde edilen bulgulara göre, fakültede okuyan hafif orta düzeyde tespit Ayrıca katılımcı cinsiyet, eğitimden memnuniyet, bölümü bilinçli tercih etme, okuduğu alanda çalışma isteği, çalışmak istenen ülke tercihi, sınıf düzeyleri, not ortalaması (akademik başarı) bölüm gruplarına istatistiksel anlamlı bir olduğu Buna karşın, bilgisayar kullanma bilgi düzeyi, ekstra program bilgisi, yabancı dil ailenin gelir düzeyi mezun olduktan sonra istedikleri sektör edilememiştir.

Effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on health science students' individual entrepreneurship perception

Introduction: Many societal changes threaten the sustainability of health systems. Entrepreneurs play a significant role in creating sustainable innovations necessary for development and structural change. This study aimed to evaluate how university students studying sciences perceive individual entrepreneurship during COVID-19 pandemic explore impact COVID-19-related hopelessness on their perception entrepreneurship. Methods: Six hundred eighty-one undergraduate from faculty Türkiye, participated study. The Individual Entrepreneurship Perception Scale Beck Hopelessness were used collect data. Results: results revealed that students' was high, while levels moderate. In addition, moderate negative relationship found between regression analysis showed sub-dimensions (hope, loss motivation, future expectation) accounted 26.3% total variance perception. Increased regarding hope, expectations decreased perceptions. Conclusions: These findings suggest among could be negatively impacted extraordinary periods related crises like pandemics.
