BACKGROUND Cardiovascular health (CVH) plays a crucial role in overall health, but its association with metabolic-associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD) remains unclear. AIM To investigate the relationship between CVH, measured using Life’s Essential 8 (LE8) and Simple 7 (LS7), prevalence of MAFLD. METHODS This cross-sectional study had sample 2234 individuals, representing approximately 120 million individuals United States. Baseline parameters were compared LE8 LS7 groups. Logistic regression models used to evaluate LE8, LS7, MAFLD, while taking into account confounding factors. The investigation employed restricted cubic splines non-linear associations. Subgroup analyses sensitivity studies performed strength reliability results. RESULTS Higher scores significantly associated decreased risk even after controlling for demographic, socioeconomic, clinical variables. demonstrated pattern, most dramatic reduction observed at higher CVH levels. Individual components, notably healthy behaviors factors, exhibited strong relationships indicated consistent across several demographics. Sensitivity tests utilizing other MAFLD definitions validated robustness findings. CONCLUSION adherence criteria, as by scores, is lower These results emphasize need advance control avoid

Background Metabolic syndrome (MetS) is a global health concern, and it particularly harmful to middle-aged elderly individuals. Life Element Eight (LE8), measure improve cardiovascular health, may offer benefits for MetS. Herein, we examined the relationship between LE8 MetS among individuals, elucidated role of biological aging inflammation in this process. Methods We obtained scores 2,901 Americans, along with their indicators (Biological age, Phenotypic Serum Klotho), computed inflammatory SII, DII. Using logistic regression model, assessed association markers, Biological aging, Additionally, generated restricted cubic spline (RCS) plots display trends significant variables regression. parallel mediation analysis, evaluated possible mediating various factors risk Results Our examination revealed that higher were associated lower incidence fully adjusted model. The high subgroup had 79.73% reduction compared low an OR = 0.2027 (95% Cl 0.0871, 0.4714), similar correlations factor risk. mediated associations LE8, behaviors Conclusion A rise score individuals protective MetS, be partially by suggesting reduce ameliorating aging.

The association between the recently updated cardiovascular health (CVH) assessment algorithm, Life's Essential 8 (LE8), and all-cause mortality among adults with depression remains unknown. From National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) spanning 2005–2018, a cohort of 2,935 individuals diagnosed was identified. Their CVH evaluated through LE8 score system. investigation status utilized connections Death Index up to December 31, 2019. To assess impact on risk, Kaplan-Meier survival analysis Cox proportional hazards models, adjusting for variables related demographics socioeconomic status, were applied. Among participants, those higher levels had significantly lower compared levels. regression analyses demonstrated that each 1-point increase in associated risk [HR = 0.97, 95%CI:0.96–0.98]. inverse persisted across different demographic subgroups. Higher depression. These findings underscore importance comprehensive management as part healthcare strategies people depression, suggesting improving may contribute longer life expectancy this vulnerable population.

Summary: Background: This study examined the link between Life’s Essential 8 (LE8) metric and peripheral artery disease (PAD) prevalence in U.S. Patients methods: population-based prospective cohort analyzed data from 6,076 participants aged 20 years older National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) conducted 1999 2004. LE8 scores were categorized into low, moderate, high cardiovascular health (CVH) levels. Multivariable weighted logistic regression subgroup analyses performed to examine relationship CVH PAD, adjusting for demographic clinical variables. Results: In final analysis, a total of individuals included, with mean age 59.41±12.80 51.3% (n=3,115) being male. The PAD was 6.9% (n=418). After confounding factors, compared low CVH, those moderate had 34% lower risk (OR: 0.66, 95% CI: 0.53–0.82), 62% 0.38, 0.25–0.58). Conclusions: conclusion, we report that are associated higher among adults. These findings may contribute prevention strategies PAD.

Background Cardiorespiratory health issues often intersect. This study explored the relationship between lung and recently updated Cardiovascular Health Measure (Life’s Essential 8). Methods Data from 2007–2018 National Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) were analyzed. Three cohorts included: disease in Main cohort ( N = 9,772), function Spirometry sub-cohort 3,896), respiratory symptoms Respiratory Symptoms (Age > 40) 3,449). LE8 scores used as both continuous categorical variables (0–49, 50–79, 80–100). Weighted multivariate regression analyses examined correlations health, weighted restricted cubic spline (RCS) analyzed potential non-linear relationships. Subgroup analysis was conducted to verify stability. Results Overall better high group than low group. In fully adjusted model, had significantly lower odds of asthma (OR 0.42; 95% CI 0.29, 0.59) chronic bronchitis 0.27; 0.15, 0.49) compared Regarding function, each 10-point increase associated with an 50 ml FEV1 (Beta 50; 32, 67) 56 FVC 56; 79). Among middle-aged older adults (age 40), symptoms, including cough 0.23; 0.12, 0.46), phlegm 0.19, 0.90), wheezing 0.29; 0.54). RCS demonstrated a negative correlation cough, sputum, wheeze. sensitivity suggested Conclusion Life’s 8 (LE8) are positively US population. These findings provide valuable reference for maintaining overall cardiorespiratory health.

ABSTRACT Background Life's Essential 8 (LE8) is a recently updated algorithm for evaluating cardiovascular health (CVH). This study investigates the association between LE8 and mortality risk among individuals with arthritis in United States. Methods We conducted retrospective cohort using data from US National Health Nutritional Examination Survey (NHANES) 2005–2018. Participants were included. Mortality data, including underlying causes of death, obtained through linkage to national death records up December 31, 2019. components (diet, physical activity, nicotine exposure, sleep, body mass index, blood lipids, glucose, pressure) measured scored 0 100. The total score, calculated as unweighted average all components, was categorized into low (0–49), moderate (50–79), high (80–100) CVH. employed Kaplan–Meier curves estimate survival probabilities weighted Cox proportional hazards regression models evaluate hazard ratios (HRs) 95% confidence intervals (CIs) all‐cause disease (CVD) mortality. Stratified analyses interaction tests performed explore potential effect modifications. Results Among 4519 participants (median follow‐up: 7.67 years), we observed 793 deaths, 213 CVD deaths. Every 10‐point increase score associated 17% lower (HR: 0.83, CI: 0.77–0.89) 25% 0.75, 0.66–0.85). Compared lowest CVH tertile, highest tertile demonstrated 38% 0.62, 0.41–0.92) 62% 0.38, 0.18–0.80). revealed significantly higher probability patients compared those (log‐rank p < 0.05). confirmed consistent associations across various subgroups. Similar findings sensitivity focusing on osteoarthritis other subtypes. Conclusion Higher adherence recommendations reduced risks adults arthritis.
