Background/Objectives: Growing evidence suggests that oral microbiota dysbiosis may contribute to the development of systemic conditions, including neurodegenerative diseases. This dysregulation promotes immunoinflammatory responses are increasingly associated with dementia. systematic review aimed evaluate association between and risk dementia in older adults. Methods: Eligible studies evaluated microbial composition using validated methods such as genetic sequencing, bacterial culture, or metagenomic analysis. Following PRISMA guidelines a PICO framework, included cohort, case–control, cross-sectional studies. Searches were conducted across PubMed, Scopus, Web Science, Embase, Cochrane Library. Two independent reviewers screened selected studies, resolving disagreements through third evaluator. Results: revealed Tannerella forsythia, Fusobacterium nucleatum, Porphyromonas, Prevotella, Leptotrichia, Fusobacteriota, Peptostreptococcaceae, Candida spp. consistently Alzheimer’s disease mild cognitive impairment, indicating their potential role neurodegeneration. In contrast, Streptococcus gordonii, Gemella haemolysans, Rothia, Neisseria, Haemophilus reduced cognitively impaired individuals, suggesting link healthy cognition. Studies also showed decreased diversity possible modifying effect APOE4 allele. Oral health interventions improved slowed decline, supporting diagnostic therapeutic modulation. Conclusions: The findings suggest not only result from decline but its pathogenesis. Future larger more diverse cohorts recommended validate these associations.

Background The association between psychiatric disorders and dentofacial deformities has attracted widespread attention. However, their relationship is currently unclear controversial. Methods A two-sample bidirectional MR analysis was performed to study the causal deformity eight disorders, including major depressive disorder, panic schizophrenia, bipolar attention deficit hyperactivity Alzheimer’s disease, autism spectrum neuroticism. Inverse variance weighted, weighted median, MR-Egger regression, mode four methods, further sensitivity analyses were conducted. Results disorder affected deformity, with an OR = 1.387 (95% CI 1.181-1.629, P 6.77×10 -5 ). No other found be associated deformity. In turn, neuroticism, 1.050 1.008-1.093, 0.018). And there no evidence that would increase risk of disorders. Conclusions Major might elevate deformities, conditions incidence
