Objectives The choroid plexus plays a role in eliminating detrimental metabolites from the brain as an integral component of glymphatic system. This study aimed to investigate alterations volume patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD) compared healthy controls. Methods We enrolled 40 ESRD and 42 They underwent magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), specifically using three dimensional T1-weighted imaging. analyzed volumes them between diffusion tensor image analysis along perivascular space (DTI-ALPS) index was calculated. DTI-ALPS Additionally, we evaluated association neuropsychological tests results ESRD. Results There were significant differences higher than those controls (1.392 vs. 1.138%, p < 0.001). lower that (1.470 ± 0.239 1.641 0.266, = 0.005). no ESRD, regardless presence cognitive impairment. However, among tests, scores for word-list recognition verbal memory negatively correlated ( r −0.428, 0.006). Conclusion demonstrated enlargement finding suggests have system dysfunction, which may be related
