Arthritis and overactive bladder (OAB) are both common diseases, but the association between them remains unclear. The aim of our research is to investigate possible link with regard arthritis OAB. Our study's data was sourced from National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) database 2005 2020. Overactive Bladder Symptom Score (OABSS) used diagnose OAB, while health questionnaire arthritis. This utilized weighted logistic regression evaluate correlation OAB To ensure robustness these results, subgroup analyses along interaction tests were performed. comprised 24,436 participants. After correcting for all covariates, we found a positive (OR = 1.37, 95% CI: 1.22, 1.54). Stratified by type, there osteoarthritis (OA) 1.40, 1.62). Rheumatoid (RA) 1.20, 0.99, 1.46) psoriatic 0.75, 2.60) not significantly correlated demonstrated that closely related Additional required confirm this association.

Background The neutrophil-to-albumin ratio (NPAR) reflects inflammation and nutritional status, while depression significantly impacts survival in chronic disease patients. This study examines the independent combined effects of NPAR depressive symptoms on all-cause cardiovascular mortality arthritis Methods We analyzed a nationally representative sample people with arthritisaged 40 older from NHANES (2005–2018). assessed were measured by PHQ-9. Weighted Cox regression examined joint associations PHQ-9 (CVD) mortality. Results Our analysis indicated that higher levels lower (PHQ-9 < 10) increased CVD risks In this group, hazard (HR) for was 2.087, similarly elevated risk (HR = 2.614), underscoring NPAR’s predictive strength non-depressed individuals. Among those symptoms, still associated mortality, its impact less marked, highlighting need further research into NPAR-depression interaction. Conclusion identifies as key predictor patients, particularly fewer symptoms. predicts value an nutrition biomarker. Integrating clinical practice could enhance individualized assessment intervention

Background and objectives Cancer-related fatigue is a common distressing symptom experienced by cancer patients, which may persist from the time of diagnosis to end life. This negatively affects patients’ physical, emotional, cognitive well-being. Nutrition plays key role in managing cancer-related fatigue, recently, Mediterranean diet has gained attention as potential intervention. The present study uses data National Health Examination Survey (NHANES) investigate association between diet. Methods Data NHANES 2017–2020.03 cycle were selected for this cross-sectional study. Alternative Diet Adherence (AMED) score was used evaluate participants’ adherence AMED scores calculated based on 24-h dietary recall interviews conducted both day one two. Multiple linear regression modeling explore well relationship general population. Results A total 6,413 adults aged 20 years older included study, with 707 identified patients. There noteworthy inverse found more pronounced patients: β = −0.121, 95% CI: −0.172, −0.071 ( p < 0.001) unadjusted model. correlation remained significant after adjusting all variables model 3: −0.074, −0.127, −0.021 0.007). dose-dependent when expressed quartiles, negative increased across models trend <0.05). In population, analysis individual nutrients revealed that alcohol significantly associated models, particularly model: −0.710, −1.058, −0.362 0.001). Subgroup analyses indicated diabetes, education level type had effect interaction -values 0.010, 0.023 0.049, respectively. Conclusion suggests higher contribute reduce especially patients; however, further research necessary validate correlation.

Depression and multiple musculoskeletal disorders are overrepresented in women compared with men. Given that depression is a modifiable risk factor improvement of depressive symptoms increases positive outcomes following orthopedic intervention, efforts to improve clinical recognition increased action toward ameliorating among patients positioned reduce complications positively affect patient-reported outcomes. Although psychosocial factors play role the manifestation remittance depression, it also well appreciated primary biochemical changes capable causing perpetuating depression. Unique insight for novel treatments may be facilitated by query bidirectional relationship between health This Review aims synthesize diverse literature on sex, orthopedics emphasize potential common underlying biological substrates. overrepresentation women, emphasis drivers co-occurrence these women's health.
