Background: The physical abilities of older adults decline with age, making them more susceptible to micronutrient deficiency, which may affect their sleep quality. Objectives: This study aimed construct a risk correlative model for disorders in Chinese based on blood levels. Methods: In this matched case-control study, we recruited 124 participants and controls from the Tianjin Elderly Nutrition Cognition cohort China. Micronutrient levels whole were measured using dried spot technique. We compared differences between two groups also constructed receiver operating characteristic (ROC) nomogram disorders. Results: comparison control group, group showed lower vitamin A, E (VE), folate, magnesium, copper, iron, selenium (Se) univariate analysis (p < 0.05). ROC curve indicated that combination VE + folate Se have an excellent diagnostic effect disorders, area under 0.964. was integrated into demonstrate relationship consistency index 0.88, suggesting assessed well. Conclusions: by VE, might show good performance assessing adults.

Cognitive function is a fundamental capacity essential for maintaining independence and performing complex tasks in daily life. abilities gradually decline with age, potentially leading to dementia. Evidence suggests that female reproductive factors may influence cognitive later life through various mechanisms. However, the relationship between age at first birth (AFB) requires further investigation. This study utilizes data from 2011-2014 National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES), including 1,057 participants. Background: The magnesium depletion score (MDS), a novel clinical score, incorporates alcohol consumption, kidney disease, use of diuretics and proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) to assess levels. However, the prognostic significance MDS individuals with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) remains uncertain. This research aimed explore relationship between mortality outcomes in NAFLD patients, including all-cause mortality, cancer cardiovascular (CVD) mortality. Method: Data acquired on 16,394 patients from National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) 1999 2018 were analyzed this cohort study. Mortality assessed using linked Death Index, which included CVD Cox proportional hazards models used determine hazard ratios (HRs) for related MDS. Subgroup analyses also performed potential modifying influences different demographic characteristics. Result: An elevated was associated significantly higher risks (HR 1.22; 95% CI, 1.15–1.30), 1.15; 1.03–1.28), 1.33; 1.18–1.51). While these associations remained consistent many subgroups, factors such as gender, education level, consumption influenced link Conclusion: is an innovative feasible indicator among patients. Incorporating into practice could improve risk stratification inform targeted interventions at diminishing deficiency within group.

Abstract This study aims to analyze whether individuals who self-report as possible bruxism differ from non-bruxism in terms of sleep quality, daytime sleepiness, and emotional disorders (depression, anxiety, stress). Additionally, it examines the relationships between these disorders, sleepiness both groups. An online questionnaire was administered 400 Spanish participants without cognitive impairments. The included measures bruxism, Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index, Epworth Sleepiness Scale, Depression, Anxiety, Stress Scale-21. Statistical analyses, including Chi-square test T -test, were conducted assess associations. A total 21.8% self-reported with a higher prevalence among women under 50 years age. No significant differences found regarding percentage poor quality or excessive ( p > .05). However, observed levels depression, stress, which bruxism. Possible is not associated but linked poorer greater severity stress. Stronger associations depression anxiety group compared non-bruxism, suggesting that psychological have more consistent impact on Women, middle-aged individuals, those university education reported rates symptoms. Bruxism such negatively life. Understanding associations, their prevalence, profile can help designing effective intervention programs mitigate adverse effects.

Abstract Humans spend approximately one third of their life asleep but, as counterintuitive it may sound, sleep is far from being a quiet state inactivity. Sleep provides the opportunity to perform numerous biological and physiological functions that are essential health wellbeing, including memory consolidation, physical recovery, immunoregulation, emotional processing. Yet, deprivation, chronic restriction, various types disorders all too common in modern society. Failure meet recommended 7-9 hours restful per night known increase risk several conditions, reason why regular adequate should be seen priority instead an unnecessary commodity easily traded required by commitments our busy lives. While both quantity quality can largely improved with relatively straightforward practices dictated good hygiene, emerging research suggests dietary supplementation protocols focused on certain foods, nutrients, biochemical compounds sleep-promoting properties act subsidiary aids complementing these behavioral changes. The scope this narrative review summarize available evidence potential benefits selected nutraceuticals context circadian rhythm disturbances, namely melatonin, magnesium, omega-3 fatty acids, tart cherry juice, kiwifruit, apigenin, valerian root, L-theanine, glycine, ashwagandha, myoinositol, Rhodiola rosea, phosphatidylserine. Background The Magnesium depletion score (MDS) serves as a novel metric for quantifying magnesium deficiency in the human body, comprehensively assessing four indicators: diuretic use, proton pump inhibitor estimated glomerular filtration rate, and alcohol abuse. However, there have been no studies examining potential association between MDS depression. Methods study population this cross-sectional comprised adults from National Health Nutrition Examination Survey database 2009 to 2018. Participants with of 10 or above on Patient Questionnaire-9 were defined having We employed multivariable logistic regression models investigate Furthermore, subgroup analyses conducted assess differences among populations diverse characteristics. Results A total 13,197 participants included study. After adjusting all covariates, significant positive correlation was observed Specifically, every unit increase MDS, likelihood developing depression increased by 13% (OR = 1.13, 95% CI: 1.04–1.22, p 0.0025). This consistent across groups, 19% medium group 1.19, 1.01–1.41, 0.0404) 58% high 1.58, 1.21–2.07, 0.0007), using low reference. Subgroup revealed relationship races, marital statuses, hypertension status. Conclusion Our has uncovered Reducing individuals may play role both prevention treatment

Background/Objectives: Baobab (Adansonia digitate L.) is an underutilized species and edible parts (fruits, leaves seeds) contribute to food security human health in tropical areas. Although the fruits have attracted greater research interest recently been approved for consumption EU countries, are traditionally consumed but they yet be studied from interventional perspective. The aim of this study was propose a protocol dietary intervention using baobab (BLs) achieve recommended reference values proteins minerals (K, Ca, Mg, Na, Fe, Mn) different target groups Sudanese population. Methods: Dry matter, crude fat, protein ash content, mineral content (Na, K, Mn), total phenolic, flavonoid compounds were determined BLs six To assess nutrition status Sudan, time-series data (2013–2023) DataBank Health Nutrition Population Statistics database used. nutrients by European Food Safety Authority used estimate amount leaf intake (BLI, g/day). Results: For each nutrient, area with lowest recommended. Leaves El Gari (BN3) 18.312 g/day 30.712 K which particularly beneficial children aged 1–3 years lactating women. Kor Tagat (KR1) suitable sodium intake, requiring approximately 13–23 across all age groups. Conclusions: systematic inclusion diet can positively support nutritional various demographics. Moreover, findings demonstrated foundation public policy-makers on how will tackle malnutrition insecurity worldwide incorporating naturally available diets nutritious alternatives.
