Abstract Background: Adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) are an important sub-population in sub-Saharan Africa (SSA), where youth account for more than two-thirds of the region’s population. In comparison to their male counterparts, AGYW at a higher risk mental health burden. This review aims peer-reviewed evidence on burden social determinants amongst aged 10- 24 years African context. Abstract Background Pregnancy is one of the most remarkable experiences in a woman’s life. Prenatal depression, characterized by stress and worry associated with pregnancy, can reach severe levels. On global scale, mental addictive disorders affect more than billion people, causing 19% years lived disability. It estimated that 25–35% pregnant women experience depressive symptoms, 20% meeting diagnostic criteria for major depression. Methods A systematic review meta-analysis were conducted to examine depression during pregnancy Ethiopia. The search was from March 1–31, 2023. Abstract Introduction This study aimed to investigate the prevalence, severity, and factors associated with antenatal depression among women receiving care at Mubende Regional Referral Hospital (MRRH) in Uganda. Background Pregnancy and postpartum periods are crucial stages for women’s mental health, women living with HIV particularly susceptible to depression psychological stress due various factors.
