Abstract The root-knot nematode (RKNs) Meloidogyne incognita, are a significant biotic factor that negatively impacted both the yield and quality of vegetables. nematophagous fungus, Purpureocillium lilacinum, is widely regarded as highly effective biocontrol agent (BCA) for RKNs. To investigated nematicidal efficacy P. lilacinum against eggs second-stage juveniles M. incognita at varying application durations, this investigation was carried out invitro settings Department Plant Pathology, Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. results also revealed effectively reduced survival rates in an time dependent manner. Microscopic examination displayed fungi directly invaded made contact with juveniles, demonstrated its parasitic nature incognita. We found suppressed populations incidence root galls. Notably, significantly stimulated plant growth metrics biomass, even presence infections. Our research findings suggest can be employed beneficial to manage RKNs enhance development

Cannabis (Cannabis sativa L.) is one of the earliest cultivated crops and valued for its medicinal compounds, food, fibre, bioactive secondary metabolites. The rapid expansion cannabis industry has surpassed development production system knowledge. scientific community currently focuses on optimising agronomic environmental factors to enhance yield quality. However, cultivators face significant challenges from severe pathogens, with limited effective control options. principal diseases include root rot, wilt, bud powdery mildew, stunt disease, microorganisms that reduce post-harvest Sustainable management strategies involve utilising clean planting stocks, modifying conditions, implementing sanitation, applying fungal bacterial biological agents, drawing decades research other crops. Plant–microbe interactions can promote growth regulate metabolite production. This review examines recent literature pathogen in indoor using biocontrol agents. Specific morphological, biochemical, characteristics hinder implementation cannabis. Subsequent investigations should focus elucidating plant–microbe essential effectiveness methodologies cultivation systems.

The study investigated the efficacy of biological and chemical protection agents in barley cultivation. experiment was performed on leached chernozem soil, with four replications 0.1 ha plot sizes. spring variety ‘Oplot’ sown using an SN-16 seeder at a rate 4.5 million germinating seeds per hectare. compared three treatments: control (no agents), scheme, scheme. Pre-sowing seed treatment reduced spore count grain by 81.7% 83.5%, respectively, while increasing laboratory germination rates 12.3-13.4% to control. Plant survival harvest improved 15.0% 16.4% agents. technological protectant Kolosal PRO, KME 91.8%, agent Fitosporin-AS achieved 90.9% efficacy. Results demonstrated that both schemes significantly increased yield. scheme yielded 2.9 t/ha (a 0.5 increase over control), produced 3.1 0.7 control).

Fire blight, caused by Erwinia amylovora, poses a significant threat to the sustainable development of Korla Xiangli (Pyrus×sinkiangensis. Yu) industry. In this study, we used multiple experimental approaches comprehensively evaluate efficacy three antagonistic bacterial strains—namely, Mg-7 (Leuconostoc mesenteroides), Rt-10 (Alcaligenes faecalis), and Rt-11 (Bacillus siamensis)—in controlling fire blight. vitro plate inhibition assays revealed that exhibited largest zone diameter, exceeding in respect, suggesting its strong antifungal potential. therapeutic tests conducted on detached leaves, achieved highest control efficiency, 60.39%, while demonstrated greatest efficiency (76.96%) protective tests. Conversely, trials focusing branches, showed 45.90%, whereas 86.27%, trials. Furthermore, evaluations indicated treatment significantly reduced lesion spread area. Enzymatic analyses that, leaf protection assay, catalase activity (CAT) increases 65.56%, 85.46%, 45.55% under Mg-7, RT-10, RT-11 treatments, respectively, when compared with EA group day four. Correspondingly, branch polyphenol oxidase (PPO) displayed marked elevations 62.84%, 52.06%, 82.69% identical conditions at same time point. These treatments not only upregulated antioxidant enzyme activities but also malondialdehyde (MDA) content, effectively mitigating oxidative damage enhancing foliar resistance blight infection. Field outdoor orchards confirmed suspension provided more effective stable against than Rt-11. Overall, shows potential for use as biocontrol agent managing because high efficacy, stability, ability enhance plant defense responses.

The large growth in the global population requires new solutions for control of harmful insects that compete our food. Changing regulatory requirements and public perception, together with continuous evolution resistance to conventional insecticides, also require, addition innovative molecules different modes action, non-chemical strategies can help maintain efficient integrated pest management programs. last 30 years have inaugurated a era characterised by discovery mechanisms action chemical families. Although European programs promote green deal crop protection sector, existing thorough regulations slow down its spread adoption products. In light these changes, this review will describe more detail dynamics registration insecticides difficulties agrochemical industries encounter. Subsequently, alternative based on natural substances origin, entomopathogenic microorganisms, semiochemical semiophysical compounds, classical augmentative biological be described. advantages illustrated constrains their diffusion commercialisation. Finally, main biotechnological discoveries described, from transgenic plants symbiotic control, genetic and, recently, insect genomic transformation or RNAi. These biotechnologies revolutionise sector despite some related restrictions present countries.

A polyphasic taxonomic approach was conducted to characterize the bacterial strain B22T isolated from rhizospheric soil of halophyte Salicornia hispanica. This is aerobic, Gram-negative, rod-shaped, catalase and oxidase positive, motile, reduces nitrates chemoheterotrophic. It halotolerant, exhibiting optimal growth at 28°C pH 7.0 in presence 0.5-2.5% (w/v) NaCl. The genome size 5.7 Mbp, with a G+C content 60.5 mol%. has capacity promote tomato by producing siderophores, indole-3-acetic acid enzymes such as phytase phosphatase. Additionally, produces quorum quenching (QQ) enzyme capable degrading synthetic N-acylhomoserine lactones (AHLs) well those produced phytopathogens. interference plant pathogen communication reduced virulence fruits plants. Phylogenetic analysis revealed that closest relatives Pseudomonas tehranensis SWRI 196T. average nucleotide identity values between P. 196T 95.1% while digital DNA-DNA hybridization 64.5% main cellular fatty acids were C16:0, summed feature 3 (C16:1 ω7c/C16:1 ω6c) 8 (C18:1 ω7c/C18:1 ω6c). major polar lipids identified diphosphatidylglycerol phosphatidylethanolamine, predominant respiratory quinone ubiquinone (Q-9). Based on genomic, phylogenetic chemotaxonomic data, (=CECT 31209; =LMG33902) represents novel species within genus Pseudomonas. name halotolerans sp. nov. proposed. this study highlights potential sustainable biocontrol agent due its growth-promoting activity plants ability reduce phytopathogen factors, mitigating damage
