Trees are a prominent feature of urban ecosystems. Urban tree productivity is key component ecosystem energetics and has been identified as possible pathway for reducing global greenhouse gas concentrations. Recently, extensive research directed to evaluating the carbon dynamics trees in cities throughout world. Here, we synthesize this research, using results from previous studies 154 identify distribution globally basis generating estimates. Reported shows strong relationship with estimated content exhibits increases both temperature precipitation, land cover differences influencing degree climate sensitivity. Compared reference estimate, showed greatly reduced rates magnitude was inversely correlated precipitation but independent temperature. across all suggest restrictions that more important less intensively managed covers.
