Abstract Photocatalytic H 2 evolution technique has been proved to be one of the promising approaches overcome present energy and environmental issues caused by combustion fossil fuel. Constructing heterojunction can realize efficient separation migration charges thus achieve enhanced performance. Herein, we designed prepared a ZnIn S 4 /BiFeO 3 photocatalyst with 3D/2D structure via an ultrasonic self‐assembly process. The typical intimate interface was obtained, which not only provided more active sites but also boosted photogenerated charges. optimal mass ratio BiFeO in determined 10%, 10.5‐fold increase rate comparison pure achieved. Furthermore, composite exhibited excellent recyclability structural stability based on cycling experiment. A S‐scheme mechanism revealed according experimental results photocatalytic electrochemical tests.

Bi/BiOCl with oxygen vacancies composite was synthesized through a facile and rapid in situ surface reduction of BiOCl, utilizing NaBH 4 as the reductant. The process yielded metallic Bi nanoparticles on BiOCl meanwhile created within lattice. As consequence, as‐synthesized composites exhibited substantially enhanced visible‐light absorption capacity, whereas pure only responsive to ultraviolet light. Additionally, demonstrated markedly accelerated photodegradation rate Rhodamine, exceeding that P25 by factor 6.10 19.74, respectively. density functional theory (DFT) calculation carried out estimate band structural electronic properties samples. Based systematic analysis, underlying mechanism attributed extended light range due plasma resonance formation vacancy energy level. Moreover, electron sink effect found suppress recombination photoinduced charges, further contributing photocatalytic performance Bi/BiOCl.

The development of efficient and economical photocatalysts is considered a promising strategy for pollution remediation. Magnetically separable SnIn4S8/ZnFe2O4 composites (SIS/ZFO) were prepared by combining SIS with ZFO. composite 30% ZFO mass ratio (SIS/ZFO-30) was the most effective achieved 60% removal tetracycline (TC) in 120 min. It has rate constant 7.94 × 10-3 min-1, which 6.3 27.2 times higher than those pure ZFO, respectively. improved photocatalytic performance can be attributed to formation S-scheme heterojunctions between results strong absorption visible light, enhanced separation electron-hole pairs, redox ability photoinduced charges. Additionally, SIS/ZFO have excellent magnetic properties high stability, recovered samples still retained good degradation performances after four cycles experiments.
