Owning to both well‐defined active sites and high site densities, Co‐MOFs have emerged as a promising catalyst for their performance. Herein, Co(CN) 3 with cubic structure morphology are successfully synthesized via hydrothermal method. As the activator of peroxymonosulfate (PMS), is applied degradation tetracycline hydrochloride (TC) first time. At optimized reaction conditions ([catalyst] = 0.1 g · L −1 , [TC] 20 mg [PMS] mmol·L initial pH 7, T 25 °C), efficiency achieves 94%. Coexisting dissolved organic matter Cl − ions reduce TC by noticeable percentage, while HCO H 2 PO 4 slightly prevent process. Mechanism investigations suggest that SO •− 1 O play crucial roles in catalytic Recycling experiments demonstrated performance remains at 55% after four cycles. This work offers novel insights into activating PMS.

As the most promising techniques for refractory antibiotic degradation in wastewater management, sulfate radical-based advanced oxidation processes (SR-AOPs) have attracted considerable attention. However, systematic studies on potassium peroxymonosulfate (PMS) activation by MOF-derived metal oxides coated with LDH materials are still lacking. In this work, a series of catalysts consisting CoCu-MOFs CuAl/LDH were synthesized PMS removal sulfamethoxazole (SMX). expected, catalyst showed high SMX and stability activation. CoCu/LDH/PMS reaction, was nearly 100% after 60 min, mineralization reached 53.7%. The excellent catalytic low leaching concentrations (Co: 0.013 mg/L, Cu: 0.313 mg/L), as detected ICP. Sulfate radicals hydroxyl identified dominant reactive species system. Moreover, presence 1O2 process revealed coupling non-radical radical processes. XPS results that layered structure CoCu/LDH promoted recycling ions (high valence), which facilitated heterogeneous effects different reaction conditions reuse cycles also determined. pathways proposed based intermediates LC/MS. activity provide new mechanistic understanding their potential utilization practical treatment.

A number of studies have demonstrated that organic pollutants present in wastewater contain a considerable quantity chemical energy. However, conventional methods treating do not make full use the energy while it. This paper proposes photocatalytic fuel cell (PFC) was proposed to remove dye contaminants and generate electricity at same time. The photoanode PFC is Carbon quantum dots (CQDs)/anatase TiO2 (A-TiO2), cathode Pt. CQDs/A-TiO2 composite structure can extend visible light absorption range A-TiO2. Different crystal structures particle sizes an effect on power generation contaminant removal performance PFC. results photodegradation experiments electrochemical tests indicate degradation electrochemistry 20 nm A-TiO2 are superior those other samples. Consequently, selected for photoanode. photocurrent density, open-circuit voltage maximum density were found be 0.6 µA/cm2, 0.41 V 0.1 µW/cm2, respectively.
