Abstract Driven by the demand for super-bright LED lights cars, buses, and trucks, highly efficient large-area ultrathin phosphor-glass composites (PGC) with exceptional thermal dissipation capabilities were fabricated a combined technique of tape-casting + low-temperature cofiring process. Two kinds (100 μm thick) PGC plates uniformly incorporated YAG:Ce CaAlSiN3:Eu2+ phosphor particles large size 1044×45 mm successfully prepared. At room temperature, photoluminescence quantum yields (PLQY) 98.6% 80% achieved former latter glasses, respectively. Moreover, color tunable emissions yielded in varying weight ratio different phosphors. Finally, light-emitting diodes (LEDs) encapsulated demonstrated to exhibit outstanding luminous performance. When exposed blue laser irradiation, prepared glasses heightened resistance radiation. These unparalleled could offer an unprecedented solution commercial applications preparation super bright car lights.

Full-Visible-Spectrum White LEDs Enabled by a Blue-Light-Excitable Cyan Phosphor DOI

Efficient blue-light-excitable broadband cyan-emitting phosphors may yield full-visible-spectrum white light-emitting diodes (WLEDs) with ultrahigh color rendering (Ra > 95). However, this requires closing the "cyan gap" in 480–520 nm region of visible spectrum, which is challenging. Herein, a well-performed garnet phosphor Ca2LuAlGa2Si2O12:Ce3+ (CLAGSO:Ce3+) reported. Under 430 excitation, optimal CLAGSO:5%Ce3+ compound exhibits cyan emission (peak, 496 nm; bandwidth, 102 nm) high internal quantum efficiency 85.6% and an excellent thermal resistance performance (69.1% at 423 K). Importantly, as-prepared provides sufficient enables filling well-known so-called between blue LED chip commercial Y3Al5O12:Ce3+ (YAG:Ce3+) yellow phosphor. Impressively, WLED device fabricated sample shows low correlated temperature (4053 K) index = 96.6), as well luminous efficacy (74.09 lm W–1). These results highlight importance blue-excited gap enabling human-centric warm devices for high-quality solid-state lighting.

Organic-inorganic hybrid Sn(IV)-based metal halides have received wide attention due to their excellent structural stability. However, realizing red-emitting with high stability and efficient photoluminescence (PL) efficiency remains challenging. Here, a stable organic-inorganic halide (C8H10O2N)2SnCl6 zero-dimensional (0D) structure has been obtained, which, however, displays poor PL properties the inert expression of Sn4+-4d10 electrons intrinsic indirect band gap feature. To address above challenges, Te4+ an active 5s2 lone pair is embedded into lattice (C8H10O2N)2SnCl6, as result, 5%Te4+-doped direct exhibits broadband deep-red emission (∼688 nm) (∼53%). Experimental calculated results reveal that embedding can effectively regulate facilitate transformation from structure, thereby leading radiative recombination. Benefiting merits, high-efficiency white light-emitting diode (WLED) fabricated using Te4+-doped ultrahigh color rendering index (CRI) up 94.5, suggesting great potential this material for solid-state lighting. This work provides significant insight design highly phosphors halides.
