Developing versatile, scalable, and durable coatings that repel various matters in different service environments is of great importance for engineered materials applications but remains highly challenging. Here, the mesoporous silica microspheres (HMS) fabricated by hard template method were utilized as micro-nanocontainers to encapsulate hydrophobic agent perfluorooctyltriethoxysilane (F13) corrosion inhibitor benzotriazole (BTA), forming functional microsphere F-HMS(BTA). Moreover, synthesized organosilane-modified sol adhesive (SMP) F-HMS(BTA) further employed binder filler construct a superhydrophobic self-healing coating SMP@F-HMS(BTA) on engineering metals through scalable spraying. The prepared exhibits good mechanical durability strong resistance accretion multiphase substances including large molecule compounds, liquids, ice crystals, demonstrating antifouling anti-icing properties. possess anticorrosion properties owing self-migration release additives micro-nanocontainers, showing "active-passive" synergistic mechanism. At frequency 0.01 Hz, charge transfer Rct constant phase element Ccpe measured be 2.62 × 109 Ω cm2 9.63 10-10 F cm2, respectively. In addition, current density was reduced 3-5 orders magnitude, indicating superior resistance. This work provides feasible strategy prepare protective wide range addressing adhesion issues.

This study aims to investigate the effects of different fluoride salts added in PEO bath on corrosion resistance and morphology AZ31 magnesium alloy coatings. The process was performed using a bipolar cycle with varying durations (4 30 min) baths containing (NaF, LiF, Na2SiF6) reference without fluoride. coatings were characterised SEM-EDS, XRD, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) assess their morphology, chemical composition, resistance. results indicate that presence fluorides significantly influences coating properties. NaF Na2SiF6 exhibited better more compact microstructures compared LiF fluoride-free reference. highlights importance counter ion bath, demonstrating provide superior protection against corrosion, making them suitable for biomedical applications where both porosity are critical.

Developing a durable multifunctional superhydrophobic coating on polymeric films that can be industrially scalable is challenge in the field of surface engineering. This article presents novel method for technology using simple single-step fabrication exhibits excellent water-repelling and UV-blocking properties, along with impressive wear resistance chemical robustness. A mixture titanium precursors, tetraethylorthosilicate (TEOS), hydrophobic silanes silica nano/micro-particles polymerized directly corona-treated film which reacts via siloxane chemistry. Within this study, a methodology for the numerical simulation of droplet freezing, including micrometer texturized pattern, was developed.
