The construction of S-scheme heterojunctions has drawn widespread attention within the photocatalysis field due to their capacity for efficient separation photogenerated carriers, leading excellent photo-oxidation-reduction performance. Herein, a novel loofah biochar/MoS2/g-C3N4 (LB/MS/CN) heterojunction was successfully constructed by ultrasonication in 50% ethyl alcohol and heat treatment N2 atmosphere. Degradation experiments showed that 5% LB/MS/CN ternary photocatalyst had optimal photocatalytic efficiency (96.4%) degradation rhodamine B (RhB), reaction rate (k) this (0.05420 min-1) 5.4 times unmodified CN (0.01001 min-1). Ultraviolet-visible diffuse reflectance spectra, Mott-Schottky, free radical trapping suggested carriers were transferred through structure. Consequently, co-catalytic action LB synergistic impact structure between MS led reduced carrier recombination rate. Furthermore, outstanding stability maintain RhB performance under various environmental conditions (H2PO4-, NO3-, SO42-, HCO3-, NaCl, HA, real water), showing good promise practical applications. Thus, work provides possible strategy purifying wastewater visible light.

The application of neonicotinoid insecticides (NEOs) increases the potential exposure risks and has an impact on aroma quality tomato fruits. Here, 3D cornflower-like MoS2 (MoS2-CF) was fabricated to directly activate peroxymonosulfate (PMS) for fast removal three typical NEOs. MoS2-CF catalyst achieved over 96.5% NEO degradation within 15 min, which maximum increased 52.5% than that 2D MoS2. Experiments density functional theory calculations unraveled unique structure facilitated Mo active sites, improved electron transfer PMS activation. Quenching experiments paramagnetic resonance tests revealed 1O2-mediated nonradical pathway played a dominant role in removal. Comparative profile analysis developed process showed negligible effect This study demonstrated MoS2-CF/PMS treatment pesticide residue retention fresh vegetables.
