Inefficient use of fertilizer has caused serious environmental problems and unsustainable development agriculture in China. To meet the increasing food demand future without damaging ecological environment, Chinese government officially launched Action Plan for Zero Growth Fertilizer Use 2015. At same time, China released a series policies aiming explicitly at expanding farm size great number large scale farmers emerged recently. However, whether expansion will be beneficial increase efficiency still remains to investigated. In this study, we comprehensively explored relationship between size. Based on 4 281 households' survey data collected by National Development Reform Commission (NDRC) from 2004 2016 Jiangsu Province, China, paper applies stochastic frontier production function estimate across uses regression model analyze influence efficiency. The results show that: (1) average whole samples was only 0.60, much lower than technical efficiency, indicating that half utilized are excessive China; (2) smallest group get highest score.
