Photocatalysis is a classical solution to energy conversion and environmental pollution control problems. In photocatalysis, the development exploration of new visible light catalysts their synthesis modification strategies are crucial. Recently, bismuth graphene’s unique geometrical electronic properties have attracted considerable attention photocatalysis. Abstract Numerous adsorbents have been introduced to efficiently remove heavy metals and organic dyes from environmental water samples. However, magnetic a porous network aerogels are rarely developed capture inorganic pollutants aqueous. We herein fabricated hexagonal boron nitride nanosheets ( h -BNNSs)-based on hybrid (MHAs) as lightweight adsorbent for robust uptake of Cr(VI), As(V), methylene blue (MB) acid orange (AO). The synthetic procedure poly(ethyleneimine)-modified -BNNSs (PEI -h- BNNSs) involved thermal poly condensation melamine boric acid, pyrolysis the resultant products which allowed exfoliated by ultra-sonication process further functionalization with PEI-mediated modification -BNNSs. formed PEI- in-situ formation magnetite nanoparticles (Fe 3 O 4 NPs) decorated their surfaces, turned be -BNNSs@Fe NPs. lyophilization treatment NPs-loaded PVA hydrogels generated MHAs large structures, diverse numerous functional groups, good super-paramagnetic zero net surface charge. These features enabled proposed utilized MB, AO an aqueous solution, maximum adsorption capacity estimated 833, 426, 415, 286 mg g −1 , respectively. kinetics isotherm data demonstrated that mediated MB followed Freundlich model pseudo-second-order model. This finding signifies exhibit heterogeneous binding behavior multilayer chemisorption AO. Subsequently, practical application were validated conducting detoxification chromium arsenic in soli-sludge
