Land use change often has enormous impacts on ecosystem sustainability, and ecological security pattern (ESP) can improve quality through spatial planning. Thus, this study explored a multi-scenario ESPs framework by coupling future land simulation (FLUS) minimum cumulative resistance (MCR) for urban agglomerations along the Yellow River Basin in Ningxia, simulated 2035 under four development scenarios, identified networks, assessed stability of network connectivity each scenario. The results showed that areas sources natural scenario (NDS), economic (EDS), food (FSS), protection (EPS) were 834.82 km2, 715.46 785.56 1091.43 respectively. overall (OG) values 0.351, 0.466, 0.334, 0.520, Under EPS, construction largest area most stable structure, which not only effectively protect habitats but also reduce cost reality. This provides valuable method identifying respond to diversity uncertainty help decision makers considering different scales scenarios.

The resilience of the urban ecological network is an indispensable aspect reflecting recovery capacity after external risk shock. Improving conducive to enhancing benefits. However, current studies are lack evaluation from a comprehensive perspective. Thus, in this study, taking three typical agglomerations as cases, framework was proposed assess resilience. First, we selected reserve sources and combined them with corridors construct network. Then evaluated networks perspectives robustness redundancy. Finally, analyzed under different importance nodes failed. results showed that (1) average values value (CRV) were over than 0.8. (2) blow optimal throughout during period 1985 2020. (3) change trends multiple significant differences removing certain important nodes, indicating redundant. research will help improve enhance improvement sustainable management restoration.

Metropolitan regions usually encounter sustainability difficulties such as overexploitation of resources, severe land scarcity, and ecological degradation, resulting in the progressive collapse networks (ENs). It is therefore essential to strengthen construction protection ENs by integrating various improving quality urban environment creating a favourable living environment. Using Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area case study, this paper, resistance indicator system that balances natural condition human disturbance rebuilt. In doing so, scheme (applicable highly urbanised areas) established simulate at more precise scale. Moreover, local evaluation model proposed spatial patterns multiple indicators are fully summarised. The findings show exhibit apparent disparity. Disturbance through activities seriously affects pattern ENs, leading structural imbalance impairment corridors. Based on our assessment, complementary corridors "two green belts" planning will improve problems. paper can provide reference harmonisation development protection, guiding scientific management spaces regions.

The construction of natural protected area (NPA) systems is an important initiative to protect biodiversity and maintain the health stability ecosystems. Qinghai-Tibet (QTA) has extremely high ecological value, NPAs in this account for more than half China. As human activities have intensified, increasing number research been conducted on region. However, assessment network QTA underexplored. This study assessed networks derived from NPA system a "quality-structure–function" perspective. First, used remote sensing index (RSEI) map resistance surface QTA, generated corridors based circuit theory, identified barriers pinch points evaluate quality network. Next, spatial syntax method was assess structural characteristics connectivity Finally, analysed changes activity intensity species population around quantitatively explore corridor's maintenance function context increased activity. findings demonstrated that within generally good. some areas such as Hung River Valley Qilian-Qinghai Lake were observed exhibit concerns, barrier points. These challenges stem competing interests environmental development utilization land. In terms indicators network, closeness eastern part higher western part; however, mean depth shows opposite pattern, indicating northeast better overall west. addition, footprint decreased continuously with distance over last two decades, noticeable increase occurred, magnitude grows experiencing mounting pressure due frequent activities. still play key role maintaining protecting environment. could provide scientific support eco-security shield functions globally.

Constructing a resilient ecological network (EN) and identifying critical strategic nodes corridors within the EN, stands as pivotal approach toward achieving harmonious equilibrium between regional development conservation. It is imperative to expand perspective encompass holistic resilience of thus safeguarding ecologically that play roles throughout entire network. Therefore, this study takes Nanjing City case establishes comprehensive EN assessment framework based on theory complex theory, grounded in foundation multidimensional indicators. Building upon this, research develops ‘regional simulation - spatial analysis identification’ investigative framework. The results show core structure centered around green spaces, rivers, lakes, similar features has taken shape, encompassing total 39 69 corridors. Examining from six perspectives, connectivity, integration, complexity, centrality, efficiency, substitutability, their integrated assessment, analyzed impact single sequential failures different component spaces overall EN. aimed identify space significantly contributes network's resilience. As result, was divided into three levels. source areas 1, 2, 7, 34, along with 1–34, 1–4, 4–11, 19–34, 18–19, 27–39, emerge primary region.
